EBONYWOOD ,Boxwood is a fine quality Indian Wood. Its one of the easier wood to work on. Almost all cream light coloured pieces are made of this wood. Also this wood attains a good stain of other coloured dyes making it a preferred wood of choice for the chess pieces.
This exquisite chess set is named after Traveller, a famous Saddlebreed American Warhorse used in American Civil War.
Just like the famous stallion, this design has been proportioned to perform with strength and stability on the chess board. All the pieces conform to the traditional staunton pattern, still they are able to stand out due to distinct curvature of all the pieces.
The pieces have been luxuriously carved by our skilled craftsmen to last for many generations.
